I met Bliss earlier this year during PAX South. We were both hanging out in the main area, taking a breather on some of the couches that were set up in between the main exhibition halls. She was wearing an amazing dress she made in the style of the Fallout video game series and I just had to ask for her picture. We got to talking and found out we both lived in Austin, so we friended each other on Facebook so that we could have some cosplay shenanigans together back in Austin!

I met Kelsie earlier this year during PAX South. She was cosplaying as Aurora from the video game “Child of Light” and I absolutely loved her cosplay. Her dress and crown were beautiful and she even had a little blue effect in her hands for Igniculus, the blue firefly companion that aids Aurora throughout the game. Making My Korra Cosplay
Back in February I announced I would be doing a Korra cosplay, specifically her Book 4 outfit. Unlike most cosplays I’ve done in the past, this was the only one where I didn’t have a single item beforehand that could be useful for the costume. Usually there’s shoes or some shorts or something to use as a jumping off point, but this time there wasn’t anything. Except my hair. Hurray dark-colored hair and tan skin! I got that going for me. But, for everything else, that meant I’d have to either buy it or make it.
Making My Blake Belladonna Cosplay
In February, I started watching the Rooster Teeth show RWBY. It took a few episodes to warm up for me, but I started to really fall in love with the characters, character designs, fight sequences, and story arch. Whenever I watch new shows, I have a tendency to see it through the lens of a cosplayer and look out for characters I might want to cosplay. Continue reading “Making My Blake Belladonna Cosplay”
